woo this post is way to wordy and rambin and such

ok so this all started off with me surfing cut out and keep. i saw these really cut paper flower. But I don’t have pretty paper then I remembered seeing fabric flower like that on craftster. But I didn’t know what they were called so I couldn't find them. so on to Google keyword fabric flowers. i got lots of different kinds but I was looking for what after ten minutes of crazy searching i found out was called [b]Tsusami Kanzahi[/b]. So I looked at all these different sites for tutorials that were easy to follow. Ehow was not the place they just tell you in words which doesn’t help me. So I went to the great and powerful YouTube and found this video. The girl in it I think her name is Sara; she was so cute and fluttered at times that I kept me watching her video above all others

 Ok so the first two I made where crazy messy. I just had to redo them. Then I followed the advice in the video and ironed my fabric, I don’t have starch so I didn’t do that. But the flowers after that turned out great.  It could have been the iron or the fact that I just practices making them for an hour.

i wanted to use up some of my crazy shape and little pieces fabric stash. So there is cotton, canvas, satin, fleece. I have a never ending bag of (fake/plated) gold and silver buttons so I used those. I like the silver more so yea. I found that the buttons will sink to the center of the flower. The only way that I have found to stop that is to sew a little circle on top of the center and sew the button to that. then you sew a clip, bobby pin or whatever to the back.

as im sure you can see this cat bed is way to small. i have no idea what size cat the person who made this pattern had. or my cat is just to fat i don't know. my other cat dexter can fit in it. i not sure if she like it or not. she like to sleep in uncomfortable places like toilet seats, piles of paper, table, drawers full of knitting needles.

the quilt top that killed two needles. i got kinda upset with this one. I wanted to try to machine sew a quilt. my machine is very tiny and cute like a my first sewing machine . i just don't think it was made for this. so i had to make sure the two seams weren't stacked on top of each other. and even then the machine/I hade a hard time going over the seams. so i looked up this issue and im a puller, which is a bad thing i guess but i taught myself to sew. so i dont know how to just guide the fabric i've tried and its a crazy hot mess. so i will just have to see what happens when i add batting and backing. a machine fire, fabric being eatten, my finger being sewn to the quilt.

the to small red and blue scarf , the blue was turned into a cat bed. so that was frogged. still working on the scroll scarf. i should be going to joanns today so i can get the yarn to the shawl.

ok so i gave in and started making items for the little ones. it also knocks a few items off my cover to cover list .

I got these rolls of tule or mesh at a yard sale/thift shop/ gifted, a while ago . and im trying to stash down as much as i can all the time so that i can get new stuff. so i used it plus some ribbon i've had for a while to to make tutes. i dont know what size children are so i made two with a ribbon waist and one with just elastic waist of 22. will they fit or even be used i dont know .

 to make them i did it all by hand each took about 30 minutes or so.  i did a running stitch then gathered every couple of inches (i dont know if these are real terms) once i got to 20 inches along the sewn edge i started sewing it to the middle of the ribbon. so there is about four inches on both sides for ties. and the elastic one is just a 22 inch waist.

these are for a 6,5, and 1 year old kids. what do you think?

and im working on stuffed animals for the boys. the first one i have is kinda but not really from my  c2c list its an animal by ysolda

cute right and its not taking to long im on the body now after just a day.

 putting this item for me on the back burner. and only working on it durning work breaks. its not to hard for a lace item. or to small thats what i hate about lace to small and hard.

I wish i could think of something to make for toby. but he is not a big fan of crafted items. he is majorly picky. he told me to get him a gift card. im sure i can find something at a store.

large projects

I feel like i haven't been doing much crafting. but i have, i've just been working on larger/ complicated projects. i mean i didn't even want to start a new one today. i got on inch into a barbie gaga costume and just looked at my four project bags and just stopped.

I haven't got a reply back from my swap partner so i don't want to start anything for her yet.


the little clay items are done. and ready to give if anyone wants them. they are great on key chains, zipper pulls, necklaces, whatnots, you can even take the screw out if you like

I downloaded this new show called the Real L Word. hmmm i'm not sure i love it, its an ok show. but dont put this show in the same ranks as my old L Word. I loved that show it was my life. but of corse the L Word was a step down from Queer as Folk. really unsure if there will ever be a show that great again.

so i walk to my Maria's (toby's mom)  house that three minute walk it was crazy. but anyways yesterday she told me to come over and get some food. i'm like alright i love to eat, what ever, will maybe not because she cooks pigs heads and that just creepy. so i walk get to her house and theres like three cars in the drive. an i should have known it was all bad in there from that. So i walk in and theres like five guys in her house. three sitting and watching Dora with a little girl and two eatting. the one that spoke the most english told me that maria went out to get drinks. 

Ok what, why is she having a house party with all guys and a three year old little girl. i have no idea. so i just leave.

so every one wants to go out and do things on the 4th. but you know what they like to shop and eat. so there for im working . I really don't care because it really doesn't mean anything to me. but the thing i'm upset about is short shifts. they do that so they don't have to pay you to much time and half. so at one job im working 3 hours over four days. really it takes me twenty minute to get there such a waste of gas. but i'm really lucky to even have a job so i just keep it quite. because im sure that they will wont me to stay longer. right people want coffee and soup on the 4th right.

ok i'm done. man reminds me of when i used to blog like every day about life. now i really don't have one. good stuff.

hi a

toby and i are trying to see who can lose the most weight by summer.the winner gets to spend 50$ at the mall and make the loser watch them. so i'm trying to win,lol.

but we're not doing very good. we eat what ever we want.and exercise when ever we want. i went a full week with out working out. toby has been hogging the t.v so i forget to do my dvd's, yes there is a t.v in the work room, but its on the floor not very easy to go along with.

i've gotten into knitting podcast latly. i listen to Yknit and Diva Knitting. i will add more as soon as i get though the two years i missed on the first two podcast.

my hats are coming along slowly.but a two hats a week is great right.

i had to make a hat for my self yesterday, i've been wearing an earband but its getting to cold so i'm going to combine the two, yea.

I really need to get working on the stuff that i'm going to sell this summer. quick cute little projects.

toby and i have been working 4-10 together, i'm guessing until spring. so we are short on money. so i need to relearn how to live on less. there is a program at the library on it i'm hoping to go.

get into the grove

so as it happens every few months , i feel fat and want to lose weight. most of the time i never stick with it for more then a month. I'm not sure how long this will last . i cant make any promises to my self because then I'll beat my self up when i fail. and that's never a good feeling.

So Toby got a weight bench, and an elliptical. to help him , but he as doesn't stick with things. I have exercise DVDs, and a wii fit if Toby ever gets it back from his brother, goodness. i really like the DVDs and the wii fit. Toby says they do nothing for him. i guess we all need something a little different to get us going.

i just tracked my food for the day . i started at midnight , i work nights so i guess that would be the start of my day. and oh my goodness I'm a fatty, i ate 2707 calories ,i;m low in fiber and b 12. but I'm getting back into eatting eggs, there cheap and easy to make. maybe a cup of soy milk a day or something.


I'm not sure how i should plan my workouts, and meals. because Toby doesn't like diets at all. and i cook all the food in the house, he would rather not eat then eat anything whole wheat or fat free.

Toby has been on T for a few weeks and he hasn't really changed. that much, he is a little more confidant, and not so needy. his voice his really squeaky. and his facial hair is growing in a little more often.

I'm not looking forward to the body hair. male bodies are so nasty in the way, yuck boys.

i got a big tote of old yarn from a friend of Toby's. I've been trying to make a hat or two pre week so that i can give them away once i get a box full. or next year at the hat drive.

I'm also thinking of trying to make socks. the thing I'm most afraid of is that on will be bigger then the other. i don't like to fail,so I've been putting off learning how to make them.

a little down

I got a lot of WIP's out of the way. but now i've started more. i dont have as many going as i used to . which is a little bit of an improvement right

I got an order by email. Two fat bottom bags, and a pair of long fingerless glove. she hasn't replied back with the shade of blue that she wants so i can't start work on that yet.

i have a beret in the works. a barbie dress, but i've only done 2 row out of 100 so that can be put on hold. i'm finishing up a pair of short fingerless gloves. i should have those done if i give my self two hours or so to work on them.

i've been getting really into working with tape and making bags. i did a fused plastic bag which im very proud of. i've made a few other things with tape. mostly because i'm a little afraid of putting so much time and effort into sewing with my machine and it turning out bad like the skirt. but the skirt was my own fault with not mesuring right and then adding more fabric.

i was in Jo-anns today and sewing classes cost 40$ which i guess isn't as bad as i thought it would be. but i don't know i dont want to be the slow on in a class or the one that just doesnt get something. which is also why i still haven't learned to swim yet, and the fact that i freak out when water get in my ears.

I think i have my swap partners box all ready to ship. But just like every time i do a swap i feel like my box just wont measure up to all the others. even though were only supposed to spend 20$ i think that people spend more. but i just need to relize that everyone is great at different things. and maybe my swap partner wont be upset that shes not getting wool, bamboo or silk.

I still need to get around to typing up the letter i wrote or just rewriting it so that she can read it. because much like a blog when i start writing it only makes sense to me.

Toby was supposed to have his name change hearing today . but i guess the newpaper that he puplished the date to is to new. so the courts wouldn't take it. now he is going to have to wait another month or more.

but he did get his name changed at work and told alot of people to start calling him Tobias and use male pronouns. so yay for him.

i've kinda been in a rut about my hair. i've been in whats called a hair challenge.you keep your hair in protected hair styles for months at a time. and its to make and keep your hair healthy. but i got so bored that i was almost about to straighten my hair with a flat iron. but then i said hmm lets see what the curls are looking like i haven't had my hair loose for a while.

I took out the twist washed my hair. and fell in love with my afro again. I went out and brought some new products for curly hair. totally twisted shampoo and condtioner, and mousse. my hair looks amazing im just loving it. i dont want flat lifeless hair. i mean people with straight hair have to use products just to make their hair as full as mines. love what you got i guess.
