So this thing a day

day 1

embroidered hoop with a picture of me and my love. i used some chalk stuff, that i found in my donation box. i love it when i finally have a use for the things that people donate to me.

day 2

needle books. As soon buy some more needles I'd like to not lose them all again. the first one is scraps for some of my other projects. the second one is just some felt.

day 3

Baby booties. I don't know how big babies feet are but these seem way to big. so i guess they can just be a decoration. i made them for my soon to be second cousin yea the one that i don't know the gender of yet

day 4

some valentines bead. they are made of polymer clay . i haven't made anything with my clay in a while. they were all dried out and hard to work with . i used some liquid clay to soften. them up.

day 5

jewelry made from those beads. the necklace is a little ugly, so I'm just going to use it as garland or something. I really love the earrings. and i wore the charm bracelet to work and lost a charm.

day 6

 I worked on a row of my quilt. and knit a couple of rounds of my sock. and tried to make a crochet beaded bracelet that i saw on knit and crochet now it looked all easy on TV. not so in real life. i guess that kinda thing takes a lot of practice.

im a loser

so its been hard as heck trying to get all the information about this craft fair. i can't even get a call or email back from the orginazer. and my friend some how can, and never gets all of the info or just isn't telling me. this whole thing is a little frustating . she told me that i might need a tent in case it rains, so i guess that it's going to be out in a parking lot. let hope it's not bad out that day.  its also the day of toby and I's anniversary so yea.

i've been crafting up a storm for this things look
i made record bowls , picture frame earring holders, and price cards.
the record bowls are made like this .
the picure frame are made with an old lace curtain. its cut to be just a little bigger then the back piece of the frame. then you can glue it on i just shoved the back on and let a little hang over. it's not pro looking put it gets the job done.
the price cards took the longest. its made with consturtion paper, glue decrotive cutters if you got em. the paper is 12*9 so you can get 3*3 squares yay. glue two colors together. add a little edge to the front piece if you like. I got a stamper from vista printing, so i put my That1girl on the back of all the cards. and the price on the front in the area where your  name is. you can sew beads/ buttons to it. if you have post earrings you can just poke them though and put on the backer. or use a hole punch in the corner and string it to things.

large projects

I feel like i haven't been doing much crafting. but i have, i've just been working on larger/ complicated projects. i mean i didn't even want to start a new one today. i got on inch into a barbie gaga costume and just looked at my four project bags and just stopped.

I haven't got a reply back from my swap partner so i don't want to start anything for her yet.


the little clay items are done. and ready to give if anyone wants them. they are great on key chains, zipper pulls, necklaces, whatnots, you can even take the screw out if you like

I downloaded this new show called the Real L Word. hmmm i'm not sure i love it, its an ok show. but dont put this show in the same ranks as my old L Word. I loved that show it was my life. but of corse the L Word was a step down from Queer as Folk. really unsure if there will ever be a show that great again.

so i walk to my Maria's (toby's mom)  house that three minute walk it was crazy. but anyways yesterday she told me to come over and get some food. i'm like alright i love to eat, what ever, will maybe not because she cooks pigs heads and that just creepy. so i walk get to her house and theres like three cars in the drive. an i should have known it was all bad in there from that. So i walk in and theres like five guys in her house. three sitting and watching Dora with a little girl and two eatting. the one that spoke the most english told me that maria went out to get drinks. 

Ok what, why is she having a house party with all guys and a three year old little girl. i have no idea. so i just leave.

so every one wants to go out and do things on the 4th. but you know what they like to shop and eat. so there for im working . I really don't care because it really doesn't mean anything to me. but the thing i'm upset about is short shifts. they do that so they don't have to pay you to much time and half. so at one job im working 3 hours over four days. really it takes me twenty minute to get there such a waste of gas. but i'm really lucky to even have a job so i just keep it quite. because im sure that they will wont me to stay longer. right people want coffee and soup on the 4th right.

ok i'm done. man reminds me of when i used to blog like every day about life. now i really don't have one. good stuff.

I'm Dominique


I grow up in Toledo,Ohio. An moved to Ypsilanti ,Michigan when i was around 19. my mother had me when she was 14 so i was mostly raised by my grandma. I have one sister by my mother (Kayla), and my father is somewhat of rolling stone so i have 4 brothers and sisters that he claims. I'm only close to my Kayla.

I have been into art/crafts since i was very young. I even went to college for a little while to be an art teacher. but i realized i wasn't great at anything but art. i wasn't a great leader, and was bad at every other subject. so i dropped out. i was going to go back to be a social worker, but i never had the money to live and go to school.

I'm queer/ pansexual. I've known since i was 5. my boyfriend is FtM he came out to me three months into our relationship. we have been dating since 2004, after a friends birthday party got canceled . and we spent the night talking, i asked him out. we now live in Ypsilanti with our cat . we had a dog named Rosco, but he died. we had him for four years and he was always sick a few times a year

I was really into painting and drawing a few years ago. Then i was really into scrap booking. Then i was really into knitting. Now I'm really into crocheting. i also make jewelry, and things out of polymer clay. I've been trying to learn to sew but that's not clicking like everything before it. and I'm going to try to learn to embroidery.

When we moved to our trailer it had three bedrooms. It was one of the cheapest places we could get with the dog. an i got to keep one of the rooms to craft in. will crochet is a portable craft so i don't stay in that room unless I'm sewing. and yet it always get messed up. I get a lot of yarn donated to me, people find it and give it to me. so i have three large totes full of yarn. I make alot of charity items with it. but i just can't use it fast enough.

I like to make non use full items, cute things that just you just set up on a shelf. not like doilies,no. like clay foods, barbie dresses, game pieces glued to a pillow case. I like to change subject, my mind, and crafts often. i get bored with things if it doesn't happen fast enough. I don't really like kids, and I'm non-religious, but i like Christmas the fun parts.

I'm a very shy person, i don't talk much i mostly use my blog to talk for me. so when people meet me in real life they are very shock about this. I have two jobs, but still somehow craft more then other people. I think about my hair more then other people, i used to be obsessed with it

a T day mix up

man so we haven't been able to get toby's T for about two months now. will we he got he had to get the money from his mom. so as soon as we got home he wanted it. an i had to stab him, i'm not sure why he can't do it him self. he is not afraid of needles, he has tattoo. i think he just has unsteady hands or something . well i went to deep once,blood, blood, me scared, then the second time it was just a little poke. well that leg was done for. an i really didn't want to do it, and cause him more pain. but it had to be done, the third time was ok, and i ran away. in case he was just putting on a non pain face.

my list so far.i'm posting as i go the first few are things that i wanted to that month.

1. sew blanket for my mom march

This was the first thing that i've sewn (on the machine) in a really long time. mostly because i don't know how to use my sewing machine. But it went surprisingly good this time. i only had one jam. and that was because i forgot to put the presser foot down, silly me. I didn't sew the edges down. because i was scared to and i like the way it looks anyways. Its just a throw not some heirloom piece. its 57x80 and made of fleece. the center is a better material.

i learned how to make these little pizzas using a tute from gentelman bunny. they will be going up for sell soon.
