4-22 the mall

i got my tax refund, half went to fixing the car and the rest went to shopping.

while the car was being fixed Toby and i walked to the mall two miles away from the guy who was fixing its house. this was like 1pm or so. I was given a 300$ budget.

I spent 70 or so at meijers the day before. I got two dresses and strapless bras, because i have no idea what happened to the ones i used to own. nail polish, and something Else.

I really want to start dressing more like I'm 30 and less like I'm 14. so i tried to stay away from the juniors sections and stores. I don't understand young peoples clothing anyways. you can show a little cleavage, not the whole thing. and do skirts/dresses/shorts really need to be so short.

Toby also wants to start branching out from just graphic tees. so he had a goal while at the mall. which made him a little less bored.

we went to all the stores that i could see good sales signs in the window. I only shop sales and clearance rack. I don't care about not being on tread, if i can get these 70$ pants for 20$ I'm going for it.

so i got some dressy shirts. but it was hard to find pants in my budget, that fit well. they were all so long or to high waisted. i found some but i had to go to jcpenny's petite section, i went with Capri's for summer. I gave up on skirts to long or to short, it just was not going to happen.

then i wanted some shoes to go with my dresses and also my pants. again sales racks, but 9 1/2 is not an easy size to find. so sears , i get 20% off everything, so i just went with the 30$ sandals, and i felt so guilty. i could have got three more tops for that price. but i only have three pairs of shoes at home so i needed them. and there so comfortable, i love my shoes.

we got Toby, some shorts , tees, and a vest that he fell in love with. but he was feeling guilty taking money away from my clothing budget. I just want him to look good and feel good, so i made him get them.

for more shoes we went to payless. and even those prices were a bit much but way cheaper then mall prices. I got a pair of platform sandals, seemed like they would go with more then heels. and got Toby some shoes to go with his new clothes.

I spent all my money and got way more stuff thanks to being picky about prices

now after all that shopping it was 7pm and the car still wasn't done, but we were done with the mall. Toby's mom picked us up and we drove around with her. then came back to her house. she had this strange young boy with her. so Toby and i sat on a couch and the boy sat on the other. i tried to get some sleep seeing that it was 9 and bed time. but it was so hard and uncomfortable. the car got finished at like 11pm. Toby's dad was dropping off his brother, so he took us to the car. we didn't get home til 12am. and i had to wake up at 3:20am for work.

and yet I'm not in a dead sleep right now. I wish i could sleep with light and noises around, but day sleeping doesn't work well for me

so its been hard as heck trying to get all the information about this craft fair. i can't even get a call or email back from the orginazer. and my friend some how can, and never gets all of the info or just isn't telling me. this whole thing is a little frustating . she told me that i might need a tent in case it rains, so i guess that it's going to be out in a parking lot. let hope it's not bad out that day.  its also the day of toby and I's anniversary so yea.

i've been crafting up a storm for this things look
i made record bowls , picture frame earring holders, and price cards.
the record bowls are made like this .
the picure frame are made with an old lace curtain. its cut to be just a little bigger then the back piece of the frame. then you can glue it on i just shoved the back on and let a little hang over. it's not pro looking put it gets the job done.
the price cards took the longest. its made with consturtion paper, glue decrotive cutters if you got em. the paper is 12*9 so you can get 3*3 squares yay. glue two colors together. add a little edge to the front piece if you like. I got a stamper from vista printing, so i put my That1girl on the back of all the cards. and the price on the front in the area where your  name is. you can sew beads/ buttons to it. if you have post earrings you can just poke them though and put on the backer. or use a hole punch in the corner and string it to things.

I'm Dominique


I grow up in Toledo,Ohio. An moved to Ypsilanti ,Michigan when i was around 19. my mother had me when she was 14 so i was mostly raised by my grandma. I have one sister by my mother (Kayla), and my father is somewhat of rolling stone so i have 4 brothers and sisters that he claims. I'm only close to my Kayla.

I have been into art/crafts since i was very young. I even went to college for a little while to be an art teacher. but i realized i wasn't great at anything but art. i wasn't a great leader, and was bad at every other subject. so i dropped out. i was going to go back to be a social worker, but i never had the money to live and go to school.

I'm queer/ pansexual. I've known since i was 5. my boyfriend is FtM he came out to me three months into our relationship. we have been dating since 2004, after a friends birthday party got canceled . and we spent the night talking, i asked him out. we now live in Ypsilanti with our cat . we had a dog named Rosco, but he died. we had him for four years and he was always sick a few times a year

I was really into painting and drawing a few years ago. Then i was really into scrap booking. Then i was really into knitting. Now I'm really into crocheting. i also make jewelry, and things out of polymer clay. I've been trying to learn to sew but that's not clicking like everything before it. and I'm going to try to learn to embroidery.

When we moved to our trailer it had three bedrooms. It was one of the cheapest places we could get with the dog. an i got to keep one of the rooms to craft in. will crochet is a portable craft so i don't stay in that room unless I'm sewing. and yet it always get messed up. I get a lot of yarn donated to me, people find it and give it to me. so i have three large totes full of yarn. I make alot of charity items with it. but i just can't use it fast enough.

I like to make non use full items, cute things that just you just set up on a shelf. not like doilies,no. like clay foods, barbie dresses, game pieces glued to a pillow case. I like to change subject, my mind, and crafts often. i get bored with things if it doesn't happen fast enough. I don't really like kids, and I'm non-religious, but i like Christmas the fun parts.

I'm a very shy person, i don't talk much i mostly use my blog to talk for me. so when people meet me in real life they are very shock about this. I have two jobs, but still somehow craft more then other people. I think about my hair more then other people, i used to be obsessed with it

Life:

Today was girl scout cookie day. I ordered them before my diet. So i put them into little bags so that i dont eat them all at once.

Knitting :I want to knit a new purse next. as a part of craftster forum. im doing the purse with out a patern challenge. I have a month to get it done.

Hair: My scalp is really tender right now so im not going to do anything but a puf right now.

Life:
I went to H&R block to have my taxes done.my refund is the same amount as the preparation 100 something dollars. So i was not happy about that.

i lost my pay check, but i have back up money to pay the rent.

I also found out the reason Toby doesn't want me to cut my hair. He didn't think it was girly enough the first time.

knitting: I'm all most done with the skirt. oh it is way to short to wear out of the house. but it will make a nice little dress up item.

diet/fitness:
fat tuesday was fat i ate like three of those Pounchki things. So i ended up only eating rice and tomato salsa for dinner. Toby and I exercised.
walk/ jogged .80 miles
did some weight lifting with my five pound weights
5 reps of squats
5 reps of lunges
(and i tried to do leg lifts with ten pound weights but didnt get to far)
Rowing for 3 minutes

we have to kill time before going to the airport.

Life: I got hit on hard core. I dont like it when men are aggressive with it. Tell me i look nice and go. He followed me around the store had is friends try to talk to me. Asked me for an application just so i would have to talk to him. Then when I think there gone he pops up will im in the open area bagging chips. I told him i had a boyfriend, and i guess his friends where getting tired of his silly game so they left.

Come on now were not in high school we dont need to play the lets flirt with the girl and make her think shes pretty the laugh at her game, I hate that game.

I'm sorry if I didnt say that this is more then a fitness blog. I just couldnt keep up with three blogs and journals. my hair, life, and fitness are all in here.

Work went great. I've been working on a project that no one told me to do. So I hope that will get me points.

I went to my interview. I didnt practice my answers at all. but I think that they felt my realness, that way. They want to offer me more hours and more money.It went really well. Now i have an interview with the store manager. So I dont know if i have the job yet. I wore my hair in a high puff, with black dress pants and a black button down shirt. I had to borrow shoes from Maria (Maria is toby's mom we live with her).

I finally finished the scarf I've been working on for weeks.now im working on a purse for my mom, its already messed up but im not giving up. she doesnt know the pattern.
