Finished

pattern- Ishbelby Ysolda Teague
needles -size 5
6/E glass beads

there are a few mistakes in this one just like with anything i make. I've had this yarn in my stash for a bit of time i was going to make knee highs with them. but i messed them up , frogged and tossed the yarn. so im not really sure how much yarn this one takes so im just going to say its less then 400 yards. and i still have a bit of yarn left over.

WIP's/ in the works

granny's daughter squares blanket. i made a few more squares after this picture was taken. i even ran out of yarn and im going in my craft closet and frogging failed projects and getting scarps.

i traded a women at knitting group some sock yarn for the gray worsted weight yarn,she was trying to make socks with. someone gave her a gift set with a sock book, random yarn and size 8 needles. and these socks are coming out real big for a reason. i want others to love knitting, and work with the right supplies. i forgot to give her sock needles. i hope she can find some if not i'll bring her a set of mines next week.

so yea i got her gray yarn and i picked red and orange yarn from the random yarn box at knitting group. i hope it makes a cute robot.

I still need to get beads for the shawl.

i really dont want to start to many projects i have a big one in the works once i get the yarn and set everything in order.

I got a new job titles HBA Lead. I was Home Lead, and aslo everything else they wanted. With this reworking of the store i have been told that i will only be working in my area . and i will now have a list of things that i need to get done. So im full time now. then he said full time can be as little as 30 hours. I've been getting twenty so i will take 30 and thats the least amount that they can give me a week.

Toby and I have also been to two concerts with in two weeks. And our car isn't up for the challenge of going to grand rapids that often. Toby's mom let us use her car, which is really cool of her. so im going to give her a little more crafty goodness for mothers day. the towels, clothes, and the quilt.

I made these to donate to the library's book sale. hi

detangled on dry hair

here are some hair pictures. i wasn't able to wear a hat for a few days i had my hair out and about. i was half tempted to make a ear band with a button . because even normal headband type ones don't fit over my hair with ease.
its not good for my hair to be out to long. so i re braided it and trimmed about two inches off each braid. i think i need to trim a little more. i only do it twice a year.

some random drawings. I lost my drawing pad so its on graph paper

front.  "love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind"

back. "I am my beloved, and my beloved is mine"

Flat love card. I liked making my hair on this the most. the card is a little wavy.

                                                      Hap Blanket by Ysolda Teague
                                                           needle size 11

i made this blanket with 84 stitches to start with. did 10 rows of white, then 4 of the black/gray. just keep on with that for 104 rows. then i started the edging and that was more boring then the garter stitch section so i only did half. the blanket came out 36x 32.

I'm going to try to make at least two hats a month for knit Michigan . i still ha vent heard back from the friends of the library about selling items at the book sale. so i think that i might have to set up my own thing. which I've never done before. because I'm not a leader, so I'm going to try to get some help from a few people at the group.
plan on joining a knit along for people learning two at a time socks.
just joining a make me a hat swap you can sign up until the 11th.
i want to make another dress

Hiya happy new years i guess.

I think I'm really going to get some quilts made this year. i mean i have all the pieces cut and such. we'll see what happens.

these are from last year

I made the beanie size . It was for my sister Asia, but i didn't get to see her during my time in Toledo. I might ship it but I'm not sure

no pattern, make a six foot chain. DC one row of blue, DC two rows of pink, DC five rows of black and your done
yarn same as above
hook J
made to go with the hat

pattern- Sweet November Scarf/Shawl by April Draven
yarn- unknown it was given to me. it was upcyled from an thrift shop sweater
Hook J
made while at my moms house with no other projects around this seemed like a good choice. it was also the only yarn i brought. i was rushed out the house while packing so i wasn't thinking clearly about knitting. just going to see my family.

I left it on my moms bed before i left.

 1.
I don't know if baking counts as a project on the 50 projects list but its going on mine. As long as I'm not just doing straight from the box. its work/fun for me. this recipe is really good.

2.
pattern tiny shoes by Ysolda Teague
needle size 3
size made small
I really don't think i would make these again. i don't like how wide open they are at the top. but what do i know maybe babies have fat feet

3.
DPN roll
sewn. i think that fabric is cotton
I made the little pockets then sewed the pieces together. i was going to use two ribbons to close it but it didn't work so i went with a button and loop. this is loosely based on other needle/pencil rolls I've seen.

here's is one way to make it

this is a shawl I'm working on. this is the first half the second have is the same thing. If all goes right i might wear it to my commitment ceremony in September.

12-26

Ishbel by Ysolda Teague
i made the small, yes that is the small version of this pattern.
I've been working on this during breaks and lunches at work for a month, so i would say that it would take about two weeks or less if you work on this as your only project. but that's not how i roll.
I had to tink a lot with this and redo the lace part a lot. i was working in a poorly lit area to my defence

Elijah by Ysolda Teague
size 2 needles
Caron sport
http://www.misfittoys.net/shopping/rudolph/bab_spottedelephant.htm oops i forgot to add the toenails and its been packed up.

Poppy by Ysolda Teague
size 2 needles

OK so to get the curls i used an eHow tute . you make a slip knot then wrap it like a curler. then take a sewing needle and go under two wraps. i did this around knitting needles and got about six curls per needle. you spray with water. i preheat the over to 350, then turned it off once i put the tray in. left it in for about five minutes. I had to make about 50-60 curls for this dolls head to not look thin.

then i sewed the dress. but i couldn't think of an easy way to get it on and off. so i sewed straps. but they are to big so i had to make i knot, then tie that with a little bow. i hope the child can figure it out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm working on another Ripley hat. one of my sisters asked me to make her a hat and scarf set. I'm not making the mittens. i don't have enough yarn for that.
I'm making the hat using magic loop I'm trying to get good at it so that i can get to a level that i can make two at a time socks. then my socks will be that same size. both to big or to small.
this i the last night that i have to work overnights. then if it doesn't snow Toby might take me to Toledo. since none of my family volunteered to pick me up :{
