5-10

Finished

pattern- Ishbelby Ysolda Teague
needles -size 5
6/E glass beads

there are a few mistakes in this one just like with anything i make. I've had this yarn in my stash for a bit of time i was going to make knee highs with them. but i messed them up , frogged and tossed the yarn. so im not really sure how much yarn this one takes so im just going to say its less then 400 yards. and i still have a bit of yarn left over.

WIP's/ in the works

granny's daughter squares blanket. i made a few more squares after this picture was taken. i even ran out of yarn and im going in my craft closet and frogging failed projects and getting scarps.

i traded a women at knitting group some sock yarn for the gray worsted weight yarn, she was trying to make socks with. someone gave her a gift set with a sock book, random yarn and size 8 needles. and these socks are coming out real big for a reason. i want others to love knitting, and work with the right supplies. i forgot to give her sock needles. i hope she can find some if not i'll bring her a set of mines next week.

so yea i got her gray yarn and i picked red and orange yarn from the random yarn box at knitting group. i hope it makes a cute robot.

I still need to get beads for the shawl.

i really dont want to start to many projects i have a big one in the works once i get the yarn and set everything in order.

craft fair FAIL

So I made tons of items for this craft fair. I handmade price tags, bags, signs. I was really happy with everything i did.

the day came .Toby woke up late and we didn't leave until 7:30. Then there was a road closer so we had to go a different way. we got into Temprance at about 8:20 but we were hungry so we so we didn't get to the church until like 8:50. We didn't know how to set up our canopy, we had to get tons of help with that. My table was to small for all my items. We forgot our chairs so we had to get some from a friend.

I only had three sales all day and two of them were to people I knew. I didn't even make the 10$ back from the cover fee. so i lost money being there. from gas, cover fee, and not just working the day. Then it started raining and what ever people that might have been look where scared away. then i got my fingers smashed trying to take the canopy down.

i'm not even sure if i want to try to do another craft fair again. i mean if this is how its going to be every time then its not fun. not that many people came.l I was most upset that nobody from my family came, not a one. and everyone in jessicas family came. heck they helped her sell.

so to be such a downer, but i just need to get this off my chest.

im a loser

so its been hard as heck trying to get all the information about this craft fair. i can't even get a call or email back from the orginazer. and my friend some how can, and never gets all of the info or just isn't telling me. this whole thing is a little frustating . she told me that i might need a tent in case it rains, so i guess that it's going to be out in a parking lot. let hope it's not bad out that day.  its also the day of toby and I's anniversary so yea.

i've been crafting up a storm for this things look
i made record bowls , picture frame earring holders, and price cards.
the record bowls are made like this .
the picure frame are made with an old lace curtain. its cut to be just a little bigger then the back piece of the frame. then you can glue it on i just shoved the back on and let a little hang over. it's not pro looking put it gets the job done.
the price cards took the longest. its made with consturtion paper, glue decrotive cutters if you got em. the paper is 12*9 so you can get 3*3 squares yay. glue two colors together. add a little edge to the front piece if you like. I got a stamper from vista printing, so i put my That1girl on the back of all the cards. and the price on the front in the area where your  name is. you can sew beads/ buttons to it. if you have post earrings you can just poke them though and put on the backer. or use a hole punch in the corner and string it to things.

i won a few ribbons at the county fair. unsure what to do with them now

craft fair

my friend Jessica told me that the church down the street from her is having a craft fair. I'm not to comfortable in churches. But the space is only 10$. and it will be a chance to sell some stuff and get my business cards out there.

i ordered cards from vista printing 250 card, a pen and a stamper all free, shipping 7.00$ and it will take up to 21 days to get it. I'm in no rush.

I've been working on making bangles from this tutorial . i used pop bottles and a hot glue gun.
more pictures here

I've ran out of most of my metal crafting supplies. so i can't make earrings or jewelry right now.
I'm working on making a few food items today. tomorrow maybe some items from creepy crochet.

9/23/2009

hi a

So it all started as me just wanting to get some caution tape from someone who seemed nice. then it turned into a blood bath. ok not really. but the first items that i made for her she flat out said that she didn't like them. i was crushed i spent all say making them

she didn't like the fact that i didn't sew them. she found them to be poorly made. i mean i could have put a little more time into it. but i didn't feel as thought what i was getting in return was that expensive so yea. but i got some tips from craftster on how to make them better next time. but they wont be giving to anyone out side of my family.

so i made her a toy that was also on her list

which made toy ask for a yoshi. i still have yet to find a free pattern i found one for 7.00$ maybe if i plan on making a ton of them or giving the pattern to other people.

i'm making gifts for jessica's birthday shes turning 21. i'm giving her my knit mini, because she wears things like that. so im making her matching gloves. she asked for gloves. and toby doesnt want me to work on anything else. but thats not how i work. i don't stay on one project at a time. i made the gift box yesterday

the gift box is made from strips of newspaper. i weave them together and tape the edges all together. i really like the flip top. i hope the box can hold all the stuff. maybe i should tape the whole thing. i don't know it only needs to last one day.

i also finished some crochet food. i started them months ago i had all the piece. sometimes i just don't like to finish thing. i added pins because its a pin cushion. and toby stabbed him self with it, so i took the pins out,i'll find some beads for sprinkles later.

oh yea toby is knitting again last time he only did it for two days. he has been at it for a week. he is making a gift for jessica, he just might finish it
