toby helped me make a duct tape dress form. it took about two 15yd of tape i really should have got three

also i was feeling depressed for a little while and toby my loving boyfriend ordered me gifts. and it came on the day the i needed it most.

howdy hi

I don't know how far long ago it was but i would say when i first wanted to make clothes, maybe two years ago. I started a dress. me and the machine were not friends at all. it took me a month to put together a dress then when it was time to put the zipper in i realized i made it to small. I placed the whole thing into a bag at the bottom of my fabric box.

I took it all out a day or so ago. i was going to add an extra panel. but i was out of the extra fabric. i had been using it for other project over the year. and the fabric that had the colors of the dress had to bold of a pattern. so that idea was out. I tosses the bodice back into the box and just finished the skirt. I sewed up the sides and added an elastic waist and called it a day. since this skirt was made to be worn high on the waist if i wear it at my hips it tooks crazy long here are some pictures

that tee and skirt combo was a no go. but it looks good with the sweater. and if it looks uneven in the pictures that because it is. i was just learning how to sew. so most of the seams go from 1/4in - 1in and i don't want to change it.

I'm working on making things for the library to raise money for the crafting group. I don't think the library should have to take money away from other programs. so I'm trying to make as many little things that i can sale at a book sale.

I'm also working on cross-stitch/embroidered bookmark so far its just old school video games. I guess i could make flowers. paisley print, zombies, bears, food, candy, craft items.

I'm working on making tiny knit hearts to they take about a half and hour each

and I'm still working on the scarf at work and knitting group

1-12

I went to joanns planning on getting some yarn to finish my shawl and knit a sweater for my mom. then i went to the pattern section. I have make a well fitting clothing on my project list. and i found a bunch of cute dresses that i wanted to make. but i was really stuck on this one, i went back and forth about buying it on sale it was 10.99. i mean come on that much just for a pattern and the paper is thinner then printer paper.

I wanted to try to make it with a really nice fabric. not really a good idea if your just starting out. but you know go big or go home. so i went for silky/ satin material. i got three yards and two different prints it was around 20$ each for those. so i put back the yarns that i had picked up. but i was so excited to be making the dress.

i went home and just started cutting. i went for the shorter dress. and i went for size 12 in the pattern. but if it was a tight dress i would've had to go with a size 16. i tell you patterns in juniors run small.

i made the whole dress in a day, around six hours.

im working on making cross stitch bookmarks. im trying to make things for a fundraiser so that the knitting group can learn yarn dying or spinning. we also need to buy more needles and hooks for all the people who come to learn

i'm such a lady

It got hot out of no where this year. Sadly Toby hasn't really wanted to go out to parks as much this year. We used to go play tennis, croquet, and act like we could play baseball. our bikes are all rusted up so we can't ride.

I feel really bad for Toby. his dog died last month. so we have been spending money on vet stuff for the weeks. and we have been behind on bills. so he has not been able to afford his T or Prozac . its been two months. and now he has to go back to the doctor just to get another script. yesterday someone called him a lady .

I have been getting really into barbie dresses. i even got three new barbie in the past couple weeks (birthday gifts). just so i have someone to dress. I don't really know what I'm going to do with the Ken. I'm in the CAL i guess one couple can be hetero .

Wedding CAL

i'm in a wedding CAL over on ravelry

i'm having a really hard time finding cute patterns that i would want to use. most of the patterns are kinda bulky or too old looking. so i've been making copies of dresses i see online . or atleast trying to get close to them

you can see more pictures on ravelry or my craftster photo album. i'm looking for more dresses online. i really want to enter some contest at the Wayn County fair. but i can only enter original designs. so i really have to work for it. and i have to send in the form before june first. and i'm not even sure what all i want to show.

i know that i want to show these two dresses, my yoshi, and maybe a hat and scarf set. in order to win you must have a ton entered.
